Description of the Project:

In the first phase of the project, students (in pairs) draw original pictures of Geometoids: creatures composed entirely of geometric shapes. They then write descriptive paragraphs about their Patternoids, and post the descriptions on their webpage. The students receiving these descriptions try to draw the Patternoids, using only the descriptive paragraph as a guide. The two sets of drawings are scanned and posted to this website, along with the description. Students compare the two drawings to analyze their skill at descriptive writing.
